TV Drama night a great success
The first TV Drama Networking Event hosted by thecallsheet.co.uk was a great success.
Hosted at the Hilton Courthouse Hotel in central London, the event attracted a number of freelancers, production companies and representatives of 3 Mills Studios, Molinare, Sargent Disc, VMI, Film London, The Guild of Location Managers, Mad Dog Casting and Delamar Academy.
Here’s some of the feedback we received;
"I really enjoyed Wednesday evening and hope that it was a useful and interesting evening for all your members. A lot of them have already sent me their cv’s so hopefully we will see some new faces in Drama in the near future."
Jacqui Taunton Fenton - Head of Talent, BBC Drama
"Brilliant night - thanks for inviting us" – Left Bank Pictures
"We had a great time and have made some new contacts. Look forward to the next one" – World Productions
The evening contained a Q&A session chaired by Julian Scott where a lively discussion about talent, training and tax credits ensued. The Head of Talent for BBC Drama, Jacqui Taunton Fenton and Executive Producer Patrick Irwin (BBC2’s The Fall) covered a wide range of topics and took direct questions from the audience.
After the Q&A session, members who attended the evening were able to meet and mingle in the bar with the heads of talent and production, line producers and heads of department.
Following the success of the event, thecallsheet has already been approached by both production companies and sponsors to do more events across Drama, Features, Factual and Commercials. If you want to be informed about future events, email events@thecallsheet.co.uk to be added to the mailing list.
