“A bespoke course for leading crew in Accounts, Location and Production. Targeting the talent who have the capability and desire to lead large scale productions and represent the best in class for the next decade for incoming productions.
6 Attendees undertook department specific training from leaders outside of Northern Ireland and culminate in a residential trip where they worked on leadership skills and dined with some of the key execs and producers based or currently working in Northern Ireland: including executives from Netflix, Warner Bros. Discovery & Universal Pictures.
This course was designed to develop senior crew in NI to become the next wave of credible HoDs to meet and support enquiries from major studios who might be interested in bringing productions to Northern Ireland.
Not only to introduce the country (Locations), but also to create budgets and logistical options (Accounts / Production) to streamers with big budget projects.
In previous years, this responsibility to deliver for big projects has been the responsibility of a small number of people from NI Screen and senior crew.
The Leading Large Scale programme is meant to increase the depth of the squad representing NI.
