DO YOU WORK BEHIND THE SCENES IN FILM AND TELEVISION?

DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR THIS YEAR’S CTBF JBA PROGRAMME

Midnight, Monday 31 July 2017

The JBAs is a talent development programme providing a stepping stone for individuals who are talented and driven but have faced hurdles in progressing their career pathway, perhaps through financial hardship, accident or illness.  The deadline to apply for this year’s programme is midnight, Monday 31 July 2017.

JBA recipients working behind the scenes in film and TV can receive awards of between £1,000 and £5,000 towards developing their careers.  In the past this has included financial assistance with:

·        Production and development finance

·        Post-production and festival distribution

·        Living and travel expenses

·        Childcare

·        Tuition fees

·        Short training programmes

·        Secondments

Awards are made to individuals rather than teams, projects or organisations.

Recent alumni of the JBAs include Gareth Tunley, whose debut feature The Ghoul was selected for this year’s BFI London Film Festival and received a BIFA nomination; Rachel Tunnard, whose debut feature Adult Life Skills won the Nora Ephron Prize at the Tribeca Film Festival and received six BIFA nominations; Toby Fell-Holden, whose short film Balcony is currently available on BBC iPlayer and has won numerous awards including a Crystal Bear at Berlinale; and writer-director Kat Wood, who this year shot her debut short starring Maggie Gyllenhaal and whose feature debut as writer-director was recently green-lit for production.
